of Slovakia. In a capturing symbiosis with the attractive
surrounding natural scenery, unsurpassed tradition and folk

largest events of this type in Slovakia. In addition to this
festival, the Days of St. Cyril and Methodius are held annually
in summer in appreciation of the fact that the village church is
the largest one consecrated to the memory of St Cyril and
Methodius, European patron saints, in the territory of Slovakia.
In winter, high-quality skiing slopes are available for
beginners as well as for advanced skiers, including demanding
alpine skiing grounds. Twelve ski tows and two chair lifts are
available for the purpose in a seven km diameter area, with a
total capacity of nine thousand persons in an hour. Terchová is
the native village of Slovak legendary hero Juraj Jánošík (1688
- 1783), as well as of Adam František Kollár (1718 - 1783),
scientist of Empress Maria Theresia, having entered history as "Socrates
of Slovakia". Do not miss the opportunity to visit the pictorial
